Andrea Goleva ⎮ flute and recorder teacher

Andrea Goleva received her first music lessons at the age of 11. A few months later she started her musical education at the "L.Pipkov" school in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the flute class of Yavor Zhelev (solo flute - Sofia Radio Orchestra).

During this period she won several prizes in competitions such as: "International Radiocontest Concertino Praha" (third prize in chamber music); International Competition for Young Musicians "Ohridski Biseri" - Ohrid, Macedonia (first prize and special prize of the European Organization of Music Competitions for Youth EMCY); International Music Competition for Japanese and Bulgarian music "Young Virtuosi" (third prize); International Music Festival Competition "Hopes, Talents, Masters" - Dobrich-Albena, Bulgaria (First Prize and nominated for  Grand Prix) ; "National Competition for Woodwind Instruments" - Russe, Bulgaria (Second Prize); National Competition "Varban Varbanov" for Bulgarian Music - Burgas, Bulgaria (Second Prize); International Competition for the Interpretation of German and Austrian Music "MAGIC" - Burgas, Bulgaria (Third Prize); National Competition "Svetoslav Obretenov" - Provadia, Bulgaria (Second Prize). 

From 2012, Andrea Goleva studied with Professor Georgy Spassov (principal flute - Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra). 

Andrea Goleva performed as a soloist with Vladimir Spivakov's orchestra - Virtuosi of Russia at the third international festival "Rising Stars in Kremlin" in Moscow, as well as with the Madezhki Academic Symphony Orchestra "Slobozhanskiy" at the International Festival of Music of Arts and the music festival "The House of Aivazovsky" in Feodosiya; Kharkov, Ukraine.  

As a soloist she has also played with the orchestra "Sinfonietta" and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sofia - Bulgaria.

In 2013, Andrea Goleva became a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra. Shortly after, she began her studies at the University of music and dance in Cologne with Professor Robert Winn and has received the scholarship Deutschlands-stipendium. From 2015, Andrea Goleva continued flute courses with Alja Velkaverh (flute solo-Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne).

In the course of her studies, numerous concerts followed in the field of chamber music, solo concerts, orchestral projects. Since 2014, Andrea Goleva also gives lessons for children and adults and is also active as a music schoolteacher.

In 2018, she performed as a soloist in Cologne Philharmonic Hall.           In 2019 Andrea began her Master studies at the University of Arts in Bern, Switzerland in the flute class of Professor Christian Studler. Her first year of study has been financed by the HKB scholarship fund. From 2020, one year later only, she moved to music mediation studies in Master specialized which focuses on designing new concert formats as innovative forms of musical performance. How classical musicians can break out of the fixed conventions of concerts and create a new musical world is a passionate topic for the flutist Andrea Goleva.
