The recorder is a wind instrument from the woodwind family. Like many other instruments, this flute comes in several sizes. Modern nomenclature includes in descending order (from highest to lowest): exile, sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, bass, grand-bass, double bass and soubasse. The recorder can be started from 5 years old.
